Radical Rethink
Looking at what I want to do, and looking at the time left... Something's got to give.
Fortunately, I've (maybe) figured out a good pivot (ha) so that I can use what I've got without getting mired in the weeds. Because, at best, I'll have sixteen hours more to work on this. So I need to adjust my trim a bit.
Instead of the very ambitious model/mimic thing, which would require me to figure out levels and do extra assets and figure out weird stuff that I don't have any leftover brainpower for, I'm retreating back to a single column. And adopting some very old tropes, but in 2.5D...
I have music that I'm fairly happy with. Lighting is all right if not spectacular and keyboard controls are mostly working.
I just need to figure out how to detect the "brickfront" and some other small housekeeping chores. Then I might even get a chance to do some polishing! I really want to do something with my half-baked particles that I used for RFK2K...
