Setting the Stage


Well, I went through a number of ideas. But today, I had a good one. Ticks a lot of the boxes:

  • Simple visuals, but still 3D.
  • No humanoid characters or story (per se -- may wrap something around it later).
  • Simple mechanic, but still fun (I hope!).
  • Runs in web browser.

From that last, you can deduce that I've chosen Urlang. I already have all the infrastructure for it (although it's not cooperating quite right now because I was a little enthusiastic with the hacksaw...).

I've started to set up a repo (mostly a clone of RFK2K) and built my first assets. Hopefully tomorrow I'll know for sure that it will work and then I can concentrate on developing it.

Like all my new projects, I'm pretty excited, but we'll see how it goes.
